Well folks, we are on the road North.
A bit of a delay moving due to a late delivery from Australia Post and sorting out half a dozen birthdays that we miss while we are away.

We left a cold overcast Melbourne to head North into a cooler central Victoria.
So cool in mid Victoria it froze our Navman and until he was heated again only to tell us that we had to u-turn 6 km to take the Marong turn off that we had passed while he was a bit cold.

MR NAVMAN

If he does it again he will be out the window.

First stop was Charlton and a pub meal as it was late to set up the cooking gear after dark.

Next day it was off to Renmark and the banks of the Murray River. We were lucky to be able to see the latest Aussie tennis star on the repeat showing in the Camp TV room after dinner. He will be a force to be reckoned with in a couple of years.

One of the locals came to see we parked in our right campsite

ONE OF THE LOCALS.

It is quite a lovely park here with nice clean facilities, lots of grass and heaps of things for families to have a great time.
The only thing I could pick was the force of the showers. While they are clean and well kept they are only one temperature and really strong and blast the road grime off you.

RENMARK SHOWERS.

From our campsite on the river bank we have a nice view of the lights of the Renmark township reflecting on the river some 2km upstream.

To get the car and gear ready for serious touring we will stay three nights in Renmark to get some food supplies and any washing we have as we may be bush camping in the coming week with few facilities.
Tomorrow we head to Burra and then to the Lower Flinders ranges.

Signing off for now.
