Friday came and we hit the road again.
First stop was Beagle Bay to top up the fuel tanks so we can make it to Broome.
To buy fuel here travellers have to purchase a voucher at the general store and the manager opens the pumps at 9.00am, 11.00am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm daily. The fuel pump is about 500metres from the store so it is only available at the set times. The fuel pumps are surrounded by a steel cage with heavy duty padlocks to keep the pump secure.

We were lucky and arrived at 10 min past 9.00 just as the pumps were locked. The operator said that if we had cash he would sell fuel or we would have had to wait until 11.00am.

Just down the road is the famous “Beagle Bay” pearl church. The altars in the church are covered with pearl shell and are rather interesting.

ALTAR MADE WITH OYSTER SHELLS

A quick visit to the general strore for a drink and it's off to Broome.

BROOME AT LAST.
CABLE BEACH FROM THE LAWN OUTSIDE ZANDERS RESTAURANT

Arriving at Broome and we got back to the camping ground where we were before. Again one night without power and then move to a powered site next morning as some caravans left.

Saturday morning it was move to the powered site and then a quick trip up the road to the local weekend market for some looking around but not much buying.

Go to the market and you have to get some hand made ice cream from a stall run by two women who are always at the market and have a shop in Broome. Fresh and yummy icecream.

Back to camp for a check of the fridge battery charging and a rest before we visit Cable beach for a camel ride and dinner..

CAMELS WAITING TO GO

ARGHHHH NOT THESE TWO VICTORIANS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

A LOT OF CLOUD TO UPSET A GOOD SUNSET

Sunday was a rest day Leigh went to church and I did a couple repairs on our gear.  Weather was hot maybe about 30 deg.
Tomorrow is filling the food box. doing the washing , last minute shopping ready to hit the road home Tuesday.

A note about the weather here. It's quite warm probably abut 29 plus each day and a slight breeze. In the shade it is really nice with the breeze.

From what we hear we had better pack some of the weather here to take home with us.
